Training held at the historical city of Porto (Portugal) in English Language, is highly reccomended to obtain level A training and certificate in IPT and better understand and work with group patients when participating in the IPT for Group.

The course will consist of didactic presentations and a review of the research evidence supporting IPT, followed by multimedia presentations demonstrating the use of IPT with patients. Group discussion and role-playing will help to synthesize the information and examples presented. At the end of the course, participants should be able to: Demonstrate knowledge of interpersonal theory and IPT research literature; Conduct Interpersonal Psychotherapy (IPT) and utilize IPT techniques; Deal effectively with difficult psychotherapy patients using IPT techniques.COURSE 2 - Interpersonal Psychotherapy for GROUPSCOURSE DESCRIPTION, FORMAT AND OBJECTIVES - This course is designed to instruct participants: 1) To gain knowledge competency in the theory and practice of IPT-G; 2) To understand the commonalities and differences between IPT as an individual therapy and IPT-G; 3) To learn how to assess suitability for IPT-G; 4) To understand the components of an IPT-G intervention; 5) To learn about group process and its application to IPT-G through participation in a group .
