IAAPA EMEA 3rd Government Relations Summit

Promoting and Protecting Innovation

We are pleased to invite you to the 3rd International Association of Amusement Parks and Attractions (IAAPA) EMEA Government Relations Summit which will take place in Brussels at the Sofitel EU on 21 June 2017 from 09:30 to 12:30; followed by a networking lunch. The Summit will focus on the theme of innovation, an enabler of growth for the whole European tourism sector and for parks and attractions in particular.

We are glad to welcome as keynote speaker Iuliana Aluas, Acting Head of the Tourism Unit in the European Commission’s Directorate General for Internal Market, Industry, Entrepreneurship and SMEs. Other invited panellists include representatives from Disneyland Paris, UNWTO and DG CONNECT.

In this interactive debate, EU policy makers, key stakeholders and industry will exchange views on the different facets of innovation and how it can enhance the park experience. Discussions will range from the use of digital content, to the design of new rides and the role of copyright. Lastly, we will take a dive in the European business and regulatory environment and debate whether it helps or hinders innovation.Should you require more information on the event, please do not hesitate to contact Mr. Marios Skouras at [email protected]

We are looking forward to welcoming you on the day!
