Since we live in a complex, globally interwoven world, maintaining peace and stability on both sides of the Atlantic is the primary aim of both the United States and the European Union. The present-day reality is that our relatively stable security community, our similar set of democratic values, and the mutual trust based on our common history are challenged every day by extremely diverse cross-border threats and attacks. The current world order and the sophisticated system of law and security mechanism are in danger, and thus the utmost objective of our transatlantic community is to use all available means to sustain it. The conference will not only reflect on the results of the latest NATO Summit, but will also analyse the role of politics and diplomacy in the future of transatlantic relationship from the point of view of Central European countries.
