Objective

The International Association of Legal Protection Insurers (RIAD) will discuss at its Congress 2019 the strengths, weaknesses and strategies of collective redress/class action in order to identify best practices and find solutions for a most favourable implementation of collective redress mechanisms, by comparing their functioning in different jurisdictions. A special focus will be on the upcoming EU legislation, the German Musterfeststellungsklage as well as issues in respect of financing and funding of mass claims procedures. The Congress will offer the unique chance to discover the reasons for the particular interest in collective redress procedures and to discuss with legislators and experts from all over the world.
