The European Commission has indicated its intention to formulate proposals for medium – to long-term adjustments and complements to the current electricity market design in the coming months.
Our 2022 reports on retail and wholesale market design have analysed the impact of the energy crisis on Europe as well as proposals for short-term intervention and long-term reform. CERRE is now formulating policy recommendations with a view to shape a European electricity market design that is resilient to shocks and supports the accelerated rollout of renewables on the continent over the next three decades.
Join us on Friday 16 December between 9:30 AM-12 PM for the launch of this research project’s final report and a discussion of its findings and policy recommendations with CERRE academics, and representatives from the European institutions, regulatory bodies, agencies, and the industry. The discussion will be followed by a standing lunch between 12-1 PM for an opportunity to network and continue the conversation.
This event is free and open to all, but registration is required. Please register to receive the connection ;If you would like to attend in person, due to limited capacity, please email us at: . If you can’t join us live then the workshop will be available to replay on the CERRE YouTube channel afterwards.
