Dr. James Wilhelm is a postdoctoral researcher on the Horizon 2020 RECONNECT project at the Vienna Center for Electoral Research. The project studies citizen perceptions of democracy and the rule of law in the EU and possible scenarios of reform. He previously worked as a researcher and lecturer at the Salzburg Centre of European Union Studies and wrote his PhD, "EU Issue Voting in National Elections", at the same institution and Aarhus University. His thematic areas of specialisation are public opinion, political psychology, voting behaviour and European studies.
