The Centre d'Estudis Sociològics sobre la Vida Quotidiana i el Treball - QUIT (Sociological Research Centre on Everyday Life and Work) was established in 1989 as a research centre within the Department of Sociology at the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona.
The general aim of our research centre is the promotion, development and dissemination of research around work and work-related issues. The study of work is accordingly approached in a broad way hence including both production and reproduction spheres, their relationship and impact on other aspects. The QUIT covers employment-related research areas such as changes in national employment models and labour market, regulation of labour market and its interaction with the welfare state, training systems, labour market policy, industrial relations.
